This is a picture of me at Rothaus Brewery in Germany.
I was totally impressed with how they innovate to produce the best beers in the world and also the way they collaborate with other breweries.
I was told that they were the first in the world to introduce the .33l bottle which became a standard around the world.
They also recycle the bottles (up to 40 times, by which, they recover the costs from the 8th time). And due to the large collection amount, they often end up with hundreds of thousands of bottles that do not belong to them.
And what do they do with it?
They sort it and send it over to their competitors (or collaborators). And when they did so, the other parties reciprocated and also sent Rothaus’ bottles back.
What can we learn?
1. Innovate and you may lead the world into something new and better.
2. Do good to others (even in business) and others will respond in kind.
3. Think of how to collaborate instead of destroying others.
How can you apply these lessons to your business?
